Hosting Dashboard

The challenge

A site-health and hosting dashboard built to manage several clients' websites from one place. It keeps each site monitored in real time and brings together everything around running that service: uptime checks, incidents, public status pages and client billing.

Managing several clients' websites means watching uptime, reacting to incidents, communicating status and sending invoices, usually across four or five disconnected tools. The goal was a single dashboard that does all of it: monitor each site automatically, alert on downtime, track incidents with a clear lifecycle, publish a public status page per site, and handle billing, without paying for a stack of SaaS subscriptions.

The approach

• Built on Next.js 15 (App Router, server components) with TypeScript, Tailwind and shadcn/ui, authenticated with Clerk.
• A rich domain model with Prisma 6 over PostgreSQL (Neon): clients, sites, contacts, billing, incidents, ping and status logs, per-site alert configs and status pages.
• Real-time uptime monitoring: periodic site pings with status logs and configurable alerts per site.
• Incident management with typed priorities, statuses and updates, plus scheduled maintenance windows.
• A public status page per site with its own components and maintenance schedule, a self-hosted alternative to Statuspage.
• Client billing with cycles, statuses and multi-currency support, and analytics with Recharts.
