Stokity

The challenge

Stokity v2 is a complete point-of-sale, inventory and business-management system built for Lu Accesorios, a real retail store, and designed to fit any sales business. It runs the whole operation: sales and quotes, store credit, cash-register sessions, customers and suppliers, stock movements, expenses and financial reports, across multiple branches.

The owner was running the entire business in a notebook: inventory, sales, expenses, costs and contacts all mixed together, with no real view of profitability. They needed a single system that replaced the notebook and ran the whole store, from a fast checkout to real financial reports, simple enough to use every day and flexible enough for any kind of sales business.

The approach

• Full-stack architecture on Laravel 12 (PHP) with React 19 and Inertia.js: a single-page-app feel on a solid server backend.
• Multi-branch by design, with role-based access for administrators, managers and cashiers, each scoped to their branch.
• A fast point of sale with product search, quotes, store credit (sell on credit) and multiple payment methods.
• Full operations in one place: catalog and categories, stock movements, suppliers, customers and cash-register sessions (open and close the till).
• Business visibility: expenses, finance and reports, so the owner finally sees the real profitability of the store.
• Real hardware support: barcode and QR generation and thermal receipt printing over ESC/POS (QZ Tray), plus PDF documents with DomPDF.
• Type-safe and tested end to end: TypeScript with typed routes (Ziggy), Vitest, Testing Library, PHPUnit and PHPStan.
