The challenge
A virtual wedding invitation built as a real product: an elegant, animated invitation for guests on the front, and a private admin panel on the back to manage the guest list and follow RSVPs.
Organizing a wedding's guest list usually means chasing confirmations by message and tracking them in a spreadsheet. The goal was a single product that does both jobs well: a beautiful, shareable invitation that feels special, and a simple admin to see who confirmed, who is pending, and keep the whole list under control.
The approach
- Full-stack: a React front end for the animated, mobile-first invitation, and an Express.js API for guests and RSVPs.
- A private admin panel to manage the guest list: add guests, track confirmations, and see confirmed vs pending at a glance.
- Real-time RSVP tracking, so the couple always knows the current headcount.
- Designed mobile-first, since almost every guest opens the invitation on their phone.
- Deployed on Vercel, ready to share with a single link.
